Referral Requests
Our front desk personnel will assist you with your referral needs. Insurance companies often take 48-72 hours to process a referral authorization, so please plan accordingly. We will do our best to accommodate all urgent referrals. Due to the large volume of referral requests however, same day requests may not be possible. Of course, if there is a true emergency/urgent situation, we will make accommodations to assist you.
If you choose to see a specialist without a referral, you may be personally responsible for the cost of that visit. These are rules that your insurance company has established, so you should check with them first.
To request a referral, please complete the online Referral Request Form. The referral will be reviewed by Nancy or Debbi and your physician, and then e-mailed back to you. Alternatively, you may fax your request to 443-964-5149 or call 443-964-5159. If you call after hours, you may leave a message and the request will be addressed the next business day.
