Dr. Wisniewski

Dr. Stanley Wisniewski was born and raised in New York City, where he served as a Paramedic for 18 years before returning to school to become a Physicians Assistant. Dr. Wisniewski graduated from Kings College in Wilkes-Barre, PA and worked as an Emergency Room Physicians Assistant at Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA for three years. At the age of 40, he returned to medical school where he received his MD degree. He completed his first year internship at Louisiana State University in Lafayette, LA and completed an additional two-year residency in Family Practice in Hunterdon, NJ.

In 2004 Dr. Wisniewski joined Potomac Physicians in Annapolis and in 2006 opened Cal Arundel Family Medicine in Huntingtown, MD as a solo Family Practice. In November of 2010, Dr. Wisniewski was named Chair of the Family Practice Department of Calvert Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Stan and his wife of 32 years, Mary Louise (ML) live in Owings, MD with their Wheaten Terrier Gracie Allen. They have one daughter, Stephanie who works as a Legislative Assistant for the Maryland State Medical Society, and is engaged to be married in 2011.

In his spare time, Dr. Stan enjoys home renovation, boating and spending time with friends and family.

Mary Louise Wisniewski

Mrs. Wisniewski serves as Dr. Wisniewski's nurse and practice manager. Also born and raised in NYC, Mary Louise also runs a home staging business (L'Altura Home Staging) and enjoys cooking, decorating, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Nancy Skillman

Nancy and Dr. Wisniewski became acquainted while Nancy worked with Dr. Harvey Steinfeld in Shady Side, MD. Dr. Wisniewski spent four weeks during an externship with Dr. Steinfeld, and when Cal Arundel Family Medicine opened in 2006, Nancy came on board and has been at the Front Desk ever since. Nancy is always happy to share her "grandmotherly advice". Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, Luke and Brooke.

Jan Schmid

While many of our patients will recognize Jan, she is new to our practice. Jan formerly worked for Dr. Wayne Knoll who shares our office space. Jan will alternate front desk duties with Nancy Skillman. Jan enjoys knitting, crocheting, tackling small home repair projects and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren! WELCOME, JAN!
